Good morning, Father!
Thank you so much for the nice night off last night, time to unwind and have fun and goof off with the hubby. Thank you for always caring for us, and please continue to care for my husband today, as he is working and driving his truck, not knowing if it is actually fixed or not. Please keep us all safe, and prepare all things for the next stages of our lives — moving OUT of this stagnant house and into a new way of living…!
Philippians 4:4-7 ERV
Always be filled with joy in the Lord. I will say it again. Be filled with joy.
Let everyone see that you are gentle and kind. The Lord is coming soon.
Don’t worry about anything, but pray and ask God for everything you need, always giving thanks for what you have.
And because you belong to Christ Jesus, God’s peace will stand guard over all your thoughts and feelings. His peace can do this far better than our human minds.
I just love these verses. And they go so well with something I’ve been learning lately, how to not resist whatever is happening at the moment, to not fight or struggle to get away from various forms of discomfort, but rather to remain in a state of calm acceptance. And God’s peace just wraps me up in a cozy blanket of joy where nothing hurts, and there is very much HOPE. I keep telling God, “Can I please just stay this close to you, forever?” And it is only me, my mind, my expectations, that ever creates a distance. I run away a little too far, until I realize it and come running back. God sure is patient with me!!! 😀
