Good morning, Father!
Thank you for the awesome calm peace I have this morning, and thank you for the opportunity to pray for my nephew, his wife, and their little family. Please bless him with a deep awareness of your presence in his life, and a promise of growth in you. Thank you, Lord, for caring for my family! 😀
Hebrews 2:10-14 ERV
God–the one who made all things and for whose glory all things exist–wanted many people to be his children and share his glory. So he did what he needed to do. He made perfect the one who leads those people to salvation. He made Jesus a perfect Savior through his suffering.
Jesus, the one who makes people holy, and those who are made holy are from the same family. So he is not ashamed to call them his brothers and sisters.
He says, “God, I will tell my brothers and sisters about you. Before all your people I will sing your praises.”
He also says, “I will trust in God.” And he says, “I am here, and with me are the children God has given me.”
These children are people with physical bodies. So Jesus himself became like them and had the same experiences they have. Jesus did this so that, by dying, he could destroy the one who has the power of death–the devil.
Thank you, Jesus, for giving me such a large family…! Please grow me more and more, and teach me how I can give to your Body, to my brothers and sisters in you. Show me my strengths — the ones YOU are building in me, Lord. And give me the wisdom and the courage to use what you have given me, for your glory and for your purpose. Please help my husband today, Lord, as he attempts to repair his truck. Give him wisdom and understanding and insight, and help him get it fixed. Be near him, Lord, and show him what to do. Amen!
