Good morning, Lord.
Thank you so much for touching me this morning, encouraging me and letting me know that you are going to do something new in me, Jesus! 😀 I have been excited for hours, not knowing what to expect but trusting you and anticipating growth. Even if you have to pull up bad roots in me, even if it hurts a bit, I am still excited, still willing, still anticipating growth. Thank you for caring for me, mighty Shepherd! Lead on. 🙂
1 Peter 2:21-25 ERV
This is what you were chosen to do. Christ gave you an example to follow. He suffered for you. So you should do the same as he did:
“He never sinned, and he never told a lie.”
People insulted him, but he did not insult them back. He suffered, but he did not threaten anyone. No, he let God take care of him. God is the one who judges rightly.
Christ carried our sins in his body on the cross. He did this so that we would stop living for sin and live for what is right. By his wounds you were healed.
You were like sheep that went the wrong way. But now you have come back to the Shepherd and Protector of your lives.
Thank you, Jesus, for being my High Priest, my Shepherd, my King! Help me to live for you, and do what is right, what is pleasing in your eyes. Please continue to teach me how to care for my body, and also for my husband’s body, as he gets older. Teach me about food, and herbs, and the natural medicines and supports that you have provided through your creation. And please continue to teach me this new thing about awareness and how to slow down and NOTICE more about people and the world around me and even inside me. Thank you, Jesus!
