Hello, eternal Father!
Thank you so much for your enduring patience with me, even when I am sure I do not deserve it, and can do nothing to earn it! I am looking forward to all the awesome things we can do together, Lord. Gardening, exploring nature, exploring art, helping people, writing, making new healthy recipes, learning all sorts of new things. Life is good wherever YOU are, Shepherd! Thank you so much for choosing me!!

Luke 1:46-55 ERV

Then Mary said,
“I praise the Lord with all my heart. I am very happy because God is my Savior.
I am not important, but he has shown his care for me, his lowly servant. From now until the end of time, people will remember how much God blessed me.
Yes, the Powerful One has done great things for me. His name is very holy.
He always gives mercy to those who worship him.
He reached out his arm and showed his power. He scattered those who are proud and think great things about themselves.
He brought down rulers from their thrones and raised up the humble people.
He filled the hungry with good things, but he sent the rich away with nothing.
God has helped Israel–the people he chose to serve him. He did not forget his promise to give us his mercy.
He has done what he promised to our ancestors, to Abraham and his children forever.”

I echo Mary’s feelings — adoration for the Powerful One! I wholeheartedly agree with this blessed, humble woman. I feel bad for Mary that so many religious cults have turned to worshipping her, praying to her instead of to the ONE mediator, Jesus. And I think it must have been especially agonizing for her, to watch Jesus be ridiculed and condemned, then finally tortured and killed.

Father, I thank you for the example of Mary, and I thank you for letting my eyes not be blinded by those who follow her instead of you. Please make my heart like Mary’s: humble, meek, and willing. Help me remain supple and teachable, Oh Lord. Let me bear good fruit for you, according to your will and purpose, and in your perfect timing. Thank you, my Lord! 😀
