Good morning, Lord!
Thank you for the awesome sweet and fun time with my husband last night — we really needed that! 😀
Father, I lift my sons up to you this morning. Please be with my middle son, as he spends his weekend in California. Keep him safe and let peace reign between him and his girlfriend. Let them have a good time and show them whatever they need to see, for their own art and future vending opportunities. Father, I also ask you to bring good women into the lives of my other two sons, the oldest and the youngest. Let them find fellowship and companionship that they have not yet experienced. Let it grow them, mature them, humble them, and comfort them. Bring people into their lives that they can respect and admire. Thank you, Father!
Genesis 2:18-23 ERV
Then the LORD God said, “I see that it is not good for the man to be alone. I will make the companion he needs, one just right for him.”
The LORD God used dust from the ground and made every animal in the fields and every bird in the air. He brought all these animals to the man, and the man gave them all a name.
The man gave names to all the tame animals, to all the birds in the air, and to all the wild animals. He saw many animals and birds, but he could not find a companion that was right for him.
So the LORD God caused the man to sleep very deeply. While he was asleep, God took one of the ribs from the man’s body. Then he closed the man’s skin where the rib had been.
The LORD God used the rib from the man to make a woman. Then he brought the woman to the man.
And the man said, “Finally! One like me, with bones from my bones and a body from my body. She was taken out of a man, so I will call her ‘woman.'”
Lord, I know you do not change, that you are eternal and eternally wise and powerful and righteous. When you said it is not good for man to be alone, I believe that is still true today. I also know that you love your children and that you showed your love for us by sending your son to make a way for us to come to you. Father, I ask for your mercy and loving care. Please do not let my sons be alone for so long that their hearts get sick (Proverbs 13:12). Bring them good women who will be good help meets for them, and walk with them side by side, on a path that leads to you. Thank you, Holy Shepherd! 😀
