Good morning, Father.
Thank you for the awesome progress I made yesterday in my work, and thank you for bringing my husband home safely, even though he had a very rough day. Please be with him today and encourage him, let his work flow and let him feel your presence there with him. Be your awesome Shepherd self with him, as you are with me..! 😀
Revelations 7:13-17 ERV
Then one of the elders asked me, “Who are these people in white robes? Where did they come from?”
I answered, “You know who they are, sir.” And the elder said, “These are the ones who have come out of the great suffering. They have washed their robes with the blood of the Lamb, and they are clean and white.
So now these people are before the throne of God. They worship God day and night in his temple. And the one who sits on the throne will protect them.
They will never be hungry again. They will never be thirsty again. The sun will not hurt them. No heat will burn them.
The Lamb in front of the throne will be their shepherd. He will lead them to springs of water that give life. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”
Yay! I love these verses. I’m not much on end time prophecy or any of that — I prefer to just blindly trust my Shepherd and follow Him without having to know when we are changing pastures and why. But I love to hear how God will one day wipe away all tears from my eyes, and I will not experience pain or even hunger again. That is enough reward in itself. As if I really even needed any reward, for serving a worthy King…! Being called faithful is enough for me, and the bonus of no pain or sorrow is better than I would ever ask for…! Thank you, Jesus, mighty Shepherd! Help me to be a very good sheep for you. Make me humble enough to follow you wherever you lead me. And teach me how to hear and know your voice, ever that much more every year. :O>
