Good morning, Lord.
Father, I am sorry to admit that I feel a little nervous, almost neglected lately. I have a bill going unpaid and not even a single dollar to my name, having given every quarter and dollar to my Mate to pay our rent and to others just to help them out. I haven’t had a sale on the new site in about a month now, and that has got me VERY concerned. Website traffic is going up, but without making a good sale this week, my bank account is going to bounce. That threat AGAIN, when I just got past it a week ago. 🙁 I have even been trying to sell my old computer equipment online for the last month and haven’t had a single person come look at it, let alone pay any money for it. It would be so easy to just give up, admit defeat, and just bury my head in the sand — or get drunk or wasted like most of the people around me. But I cannot. I have your Spirit inside me, and therefore I have HOPE, no matter how small. I am still hanging onto faith, trusting you to provide everything I need, and to keep me from giving up altogether. I feel like I have been faithful and followed your lead, done what you have given me to do, even in the timing that it seems you gave me. So all I have to do is hold onto faith, and trust that your perfect timing will come to my rescue again, as it always has. It just feels scary right now, Lord. And it kinda feels like you are mad at me. I don’t know what I’ve done wrong, but I DO feel like perhaps you are trying to teach me that no matter what I do or do NOT do, my thriving and being blessed has waaaaaay more to do with what YOU choose to give — and in what timing — than how hard I work, how much I do, how much I accomplish. I know I have a problem with being too obsessed with accomplishment. I thank you for working with me on that, Father. Please help me to remain faithful, and keep trusting you. Please shorten the time, so that I might endure it. Amen.

Romans 11:25-36 ERV

I want you to understand this secret truth, brothers and sisters. This truth will help you understand that you don’t know everything. The truth is this: Part of Israel has been made stubborn, but that will change when enough non-Jewish people have come to God.
And that is how all Israel will be saved. The Scriptures say, “The Savior will come from Zion; he will take away all evil from the family of Jacob.
And I will make this agreement with those people when I take away their sins.”
The Jews refuse to accept the Good News, so they are God’s enemies. This has happened to help you who are not Jews. But they are still God’s chosen people, and he loves them because of the promises he made to their ancestors.
God never changes his mind about the people he calls. He never decides to take back the blessings he has given them.
At one time you refused to obey God. But now you have received mercy, because the Jews refused to obey.
And now they are the ones who refuse to obey, because God showed mercy to you. But this happened so that they can also receive mercy from him.
All people have refused to obey God. And he has put them all together as people who don’t obey him so that he can show mercy to everyone.
Yes, God’s riches are very great! His wisdom and knowledge have no end! No one can explain what God decides. No one can understand his ways.
As the Scriptures say, “Who can know what is on the Lord’s mind? Who is able to give him advice?”
“Who has ever given God anything? God owes nothing to anyone.”
Yes, God made all things. And everything continues through him and for him. To God be the glory forever! Amen.

Father, I thank you for reminding me that YOU are in control of everything — even the outcome of my incessant labor. I can work hard and have nothing, or I can play more, and have more — all dependent upon your Mercy. Thank you for teaching me so very much about your goodness, your authority, your faithfulness, your dunamis power. Thank you for helping me remember that FEARING YOU (reverence, respect, awe, etc) is the BEGINNING OF WISDOM! Truly you are faithful indeed, teaching me hard lessons as well as the “softer” ones. I still trust you completely, my Lord. Amen.

Proverbs 9:7-12 ERV

Criticize a person who is rude and shows no respect, and you will only get insults. Correct the wicked, and you will only get hurt.
Don’t correct such people, or they will hate you. But correct those who are wise, and they will love you.
Teach the wise, and they will become wiser. Instruct those who live right, and they will gain more knowledge.
Wisdom begins with fear and respect for the LORD. Knowledge of the Holy One leads to understanding.
Wisdom will help you live longer; she will add years to your life.
If you become wise, it will be for your own good. If you are rude and show no respect, you are the one who will suffer.
