Jul 9

Good morning, Lord.
THANK YOU for the cooler weather, and the privilege of finally being able to open my window!! Right now, at 6:30 AM, it is exactly 70 degrees, with a “real feel” of only 74. Yesterday evening, it was a real temp AND a “real feel” of 74, allowing me to have both the window AND door open, and to spend some time outside without the sun beating down mercilessly on me!! What an unexpected treat for July in Texas! 🙂 Of course, it is supposed to climb right back up close to 100 degrees again today — but I am very, very grateful for this refreshing little break, Father — thank you!! I truly enjoy being able to work at my desk right next to an open window, watching the occasional bird fly by or hunting bugs on the ground — like the skinny blue jay I am watching right now! It was also fun to send my daughter some pics and vids of some of the little toads that I share our little camper-space with — under the camper by some of my Mate’s wood, and of course out by my little outdoor sink area that is under the ash tree, next to our big naturally hollowed-out log (upon which I keep my basin and scrubbie, heehee). It seems like just another one of your humors, Lord — that my daughter has created a “toad garden” where she lives, and toads are also abundant this year where I am, lol. I haven’t seen my buddy the fence lizard in a day or two now… but I’m sure he’ll show up again soon, basking in the sun on his favorite blue tarp under our back bumper.

Proverbs 12:1-12 ERV

Whoever loves discipline loves to learn; whoever hates to be corrected is stupid.
It is good to learn what pleases the LORD, because he condemns those who plan to do wrong.
Evil people are never safe, but good people remain safe and secure.
A good wife is like a crown to her husband, but a shameful wife is like a cancer.
Good people are honest and fair in all they do, but those who are evil lie and cannot be trusted.
Evil people use their words to hurt others, but the words from good people can save others from danger.
When evil people are destroyed, they are gone and forgotten, but good people are remembered long after they are gone.
You praise people for their intelligence, but no one respects those who are stupid.
It is better to appear unimportant and have a servant than to pretend to be important and have no food.
Good people take good care of their animals, but the wicked know only how to be cruel.
Farmers who work their land have plenty of food, but those who waste their time on worthless projects are foolish.
The wicked want a share of what an evil man might catch. But like a plant with deep roots, a good man is the one who produces the most.

Can you spot the 2 toads under our camper?
