Good morning, Father.
Thank you for the solid progress I’ve been making on almost all of my different projects lately, and thank you for helping me to let GO of things I really don’t have any control over. This morning I am really missing the cool morning air, the ability to open the window and feel connected to the outside world of nature. However, I am grateful for the TWO air conditioners in our little camper, that are making me able to survive the near-100 degree temperatures and the inevitably coming over-100 degree temperatures that would otherwise have chased me back north by now. I am grateful to be able to spend this entire summer with my Mate, instead of having to retreat north to my sister’s like I have done the last two summers, in order to survive. I am grateful for your mercy in giving me what I need to endure the Texas heat in our little camper, at my little desk by the window, and up on the little loft bed at night. 🙂

1 Thessalonians 5:14-24 ERV

We ask you, brothers and sisters, to warn those who will not work. Encourage those who are afraid. Help those who are weak. Be patient with everyone.
Be sure that no one pays back wrong for wrong. But always try to do what is good for each other and for all people.
Always be full of joy.
Never stop praying.
Whatever happens, always be thankful.
This is how God wants you to live in Christ Jesus.
Don’t stop the work of the Holy Spirit.
Don’t treat prophecy like something that is not important.
But test everything. Keep what is good,
and stay away from everything that is evil.
We pray that God himself, the God of peace, will make you pure—belonging only to him. We pray that your whole self—spirit, soul, and body—will be kept safe and be blameless when our Lord Jesus Christ comes.
The one who chose you will do that for you.
You can trust him.

Lord, I thank you for the friends we have here, and the little fireworks show last night under the stars. I thank you for healing up our buddy well enough and quick enough to bring him home from the hospital to join us outside here. I thank you that even though I cannot open my window and enjoy morning air… my Mate purposefully faced my window east toward the forest, so in the morning I can tie up my curtains and look outside before the sun climbs high. I thank you for the little bunny I just filmed through the window, and I thank you for the mockingbird fledgling on the ground a week or so ago, and the funky caterpillar about a week before that. You are so faithful to alert me to nature wherever I go, Lord. I thank you for continuing to nurture my soul and give me everything I need, wherever I go. I give you my time and all that is ME this day, faithful Shepherd. Guide me and teach me how to live more and more pleasing to you. Amen.
