Lord, I am grateful that I do not have to explain myself to you. I am grateful that you see and know everything I go through, and I am sorry that I ever feel I need anything more than what you provide. I am sorry for not being stronger, not being perfect. I am sorry for being emotional and feeling desperate for love. Sometimes I give so much, do so much, try so hard… that I exhaust myself and I look back, trying to find where I went wrong. Sometimes I wish I could physically feel your Hand on my head, comforting me, encouraging me to keep going. Please help me through this time when I feel like I am treading water, overwhelmed by what I need to accomplish in the next few months, unsure that I will even survive it, let alone do a GOOD JOB. Please help me not to feel even more overwhelmed when people request or demand MORE from me right now, while I feel barely able to manage what I already have on my plate. I feel vulnerable, Lord. Help me hide beneath your wings while I work. Help me discard any weights that I do NOT need to be carrying. Amen.

2 Corinthians 4:7-18 ERV

We have this treasure from God, but we are only like clay jars that hold the treasure. This is to show that the amazing power we have is from God, not from us.
We have troubles all around us, but we are not defeated. We often don’t know what to do, but we don’t give up.
We are persecuted, but God does not leave us. We are hurt sometimes, but we are not destroyed.

So we constantly experience the death of Jesus in our own bodies, but this is so that the life of Jesus can also be seen in our bodies.
We are alive, but for Jesus we are always in danger of death, so that the life of Jesus can be seen in our bodies that die.
So death is working in us, but the result is that life is working in you.
The Scriptures say, “I believed, so I spoke.” Our faith is like that too. We believe, and so we speak.
God raised the Lord Jesus from death, and we know that he will also raise us with Jesus. God will bring us together with you, and we will stand before him.
All these things are for you. And so the grace of God is being given to more and more people. This will bring more and more thanks to God for his glory.
That is why we never give up. Our physical body is becoming older and weaker, but our spirit inside us is made new every day.
We have small troubles for a while now, but these troubles are helping us gain an eternal glory. That eternal glory is much greater than our troubles.
So we think about what we cannot see, not what we see. What we see lasts only a short time, and what we cannot see will last forever.
