Good morning, Father.
Thank you for helping me through the last several days, and bringing me to a new beginning. I trust you completely, my Lord. Please help me let GO of my desire to explain or defend myself, and just accept what is, and whatever comes. Help me to be strong enough to keep my hand in yours and allow you to lead me. Help me to be humble enough to listen without HAVING to speak, without having to clarify, without needing ANYTHING from anyone but you. Let whatever YOU give me, whatever you provide for me be ENOUGH to get me through. Amen.

Matthew 5:2-12 ERV

Then Jesus began teaching the people. He said,
“Great blessings belong to those who know they are spiritually in need. God’s kingdom belongs to them.
Great blessings belong to those who are sad now. God will comfort them.
Great blessings belong to those who are humble. They will be given the land God promised.
Great blessings belong to those who want to do right more than anything else. God will fully satisfy them.
Great blessings belong to those who show mercy to others. Mercy will be given to them.

Great blessings belong to those whose thoughts are pure. They will be with God.
Great blessings belong to those who work to bring peace. God will call them his sons and daughters.
Great blessings belong to those who suffer persecution for doing what is right. God’s kingdom belongs to them.
“People will insult you and hurt you. They will lie and say all kinds of evil things about you because you follow me. But when they do that, know that great blessings belong to you.
Be happy about it. Be very glad because you have a great reward waiting for you in heaven. People did these same bad things to the prophets who lived before you.

Faithful Shepherd, please satisfy me with your Holy Spirit that I may be strong enough, whole enough, to not need anything of my environment or my present circumstances. Help me to be wise enough to only lean on you, and allow you to guide me out of this wounded state and into a time of greater strength and stability. I trust you and I give you my heart, my mind, my spirit, my time. Prune away the garbage inside me that is keeping me from being whatever YOU want me to be. Amen.
