Good morning, Father.
Thank you for variety, allowing me to have so many different things I CAN do, to supply me with choices of what to do at any given moment. Thank you for your holy Spirit, which allows me to be led down a wise and fruitful path — with the hope of being found pleasing and faithful! Thank you for freedom, not having to be financially strangled by a mortgage or car payment or any other financial burden. Thank you for my Mate, who provides such entertainment for me daily, as well as the assurance and comfort of having another Spirit-led human to interact with and GROW with. People could take a snapshot of my life at this moment, from the outside looking in, and it might look rather grim — IF you look at my bank account or other “worldly” measures of success. But I feel like the most blessed woman on earth, because I am truly FREE! I suppose my namesake is becoming more accurate as I age, for Fran means “Free One” LOL 🙂

1 Peter 2:13-17 ERV

Be willing to serve the people who have authority in this world. Do this for the Lord. Obey the king, the highest authority.
And obey the leaders who are sent by the king. They are sent to punish those who do wrong and to praise those who do good.
When you do good, you stop ignorant people from saying foolish things about you. This is what God wants.
Live like free people, but don’t use your freedom as an excuse to do evil. Live as those who are serving God.
Show respect for all people.
Love your brothers and sisters in God’s family. Respect God, and honor the king.

Galatians 5:13-15 ERV

My brothers and sisters, God chose you to be free. But don’t use your freedom as an excuse to do what pleases your sinful selves. Instead, serve each other with love.
The whole law is made complete in this one command: “Love your neighbor the same as you love yourself.”
If you continue hurting each other and tearing each other apart, be careful, or you will completely destroy each other.
