Good morning, Father!
Thank you for giving me the night off last night, getting into nature just a little bit, and having a chance to write out and talk out some things inside me. Please let peace be in our house today, help my daughter cope with her new diagnosis, and help us all to be supportive and understanding. Please work your will in our lives, and prepare us for the next many months, getting us ready for all our life changes. Thank you for caring for us, Shepherd!
1 John 3:18-24 ERV
Little children, we must stop expressing love merely by our words and manner of speech; we must love also in action and in truth.
This is how we will know that we belong to the truth and how we will be able to keep ourselves strong in his presence.
If our hearts condemn us, God is greater than our hearts and knows everything.
Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence in the presence of God.
Whatever we request we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do what pleases him.
And this is his commandment: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus the Messiah, and to love one another as he commanded us.
The person who keeps his commandments abides in God, and God abides in him. This is how we can be sure that he remains in us: he has given us his Spirit.
Lord, I thank you that you have shown my friend M how you ARE using her, given her a ministry of love, reaching out to others with comfort and encouragement and whatever help she has to give. I ask you to let her giving return much joy to her heart, enough to keep her warm inside, even on the coldest of days. Father, show her your mercy and grace, strengthen her heart and give her the boldness of the Lion of Judah. Help her remember she is never, ever alone. 😀
Father, I also lift my husband up to you. He seems very weary and heavy, burdened by his work and the cares of this world. I ask you to give him a restorative day off tomorrow, and let today be peaceful and quickly over for him, so he can come home and rest and rejuvenate. Father, please help me to show him love and be patient with him and a good helpmeet. Show me how I can minister to my family, and to anyone else you put before me. Let your love shine through me like a candle flame, warming those around me and being a source of cheer and goodwill. Thank you for choosing me, Father!
