Ah-hah! Now I understand — or remember — why time went so fast “last night” when I was amazed that it was almost 5am before I even TRIED to go to sleep, lol. Sadly, the “loss” of an hour before I even went to bed does not help me feel better about getting less than 4 hours of sleep since then. It is just one more thing I will have to trust you for, my Lord — adequate sleep!! Still, I have NO complaints at all besides the seeming inadequacy of time and of sleep. It is overcast today, and I already have the window by my desk uncovered and the ground outside my window “baited” with chicken fat scraps, old cereal, and several bites of my Mate’s leftover dinner he couldn’t finish last night. Perhaps I can make up a little bit for all the awesome scenes I have MISSED in the last few days with my camera… like the cat toying with the mouse just a few minutes ago, which ran off by the time I got the phone and started recording… and the redtail hawk sitting in the bare-branched tree where you could see him clearly as he got bombarded by one of the blue jays that routinely patrols that spot (my favorite cottonwood tree!). It might be the very same blue jay that chased off these ducks…

James 4:8-15 ERV

Come near to God and he will come near to you. You are sinners, so clean sin out of your lives. You are trying to follow God and the world at the same time. Make your thinking pure.
Be sad, be sorry, and cry! Change your laughter into crying. Change your joy into sadness.
Be humble before the Lord, and he will make you great.
Brothers and sisters, don’t say anything against each other. If you criticize your brother or sister in Christ or judge them, you are criticizing and judging the law they follow. And when you are judging the law, you are not a follower of the law. You have become a judge.
God is the one who gave us the law, and he is the Judge. He is the only one who can save and destroy. So it is not right for you to judge anyone.
Some of you say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to some city. We will stay there a year, do business, and make money.” Listen, think about this:
You don’t know what will happen tomorrow. Your life is like a fog. You can see it for a short time, but then it goes away.
So you should say, “If the Lord wants, we will live and do this or that.”

LOL, I started this post over 2 hours ago now… and that just goes to show what my life is like. Before I finish one thing… this comes up… and in order to do THAT, I have to do this other thing… then finally back to the first… but there are a whole series of things left over that I was working on last night, that follow the same pattern of digging myself out of LAYERS of tasks… complete my page on Google Fonts so I can PICK the fonts I want to use for that new website… so I can test out the new web host… so I can migrate the first of my sites over… then keeping on migrating, rebuilding sites as I do so… meanwhile continuing to work on other projects like my HSL color books and the website (and social media and videos like the one above) for the RV park I am staying at… and of COURSE spending time with my Mate every day and keeping us fed and such… LOL, Lord… I know you see WHY I ask for help with ordering my TIME and being a good stewardess of my resources, including my energy. Please help me to look to you this day, and remember that YOU are the Lord and Master of TIME, just as much as of everything else. THANK YOU! 🙂
