Hello, Father!
Okay, I am firmly back into nerd land, lol! I cannot seem to stop LEARNING, and building my understanding of so many different things at once, from history, religion, and anthropology to acoustics, engine technology, and materials science! There just doesn’t seem to be any limit to my interests and ability to LEARN! Just like my sons, if I could get PAID to learn, I’d have all the money I could ever need. Too bad we don’t live in the days of da Vinci and such, when nobles and kings paid their learned men a salary just for making their endless observations and experimentations!!! Yet today, knowledge is so much easier to obtain, and therefore to keep building…! Ah! I feel like my brain wants to explode, lol. Lord, I don’t know if I am being a fool or being distracted… or being prepared for a new way of gathering and presenting information… but I pray that you show me how to use my learning zeal to make an income… or at least to help other people! Sure, it is profoundly fun for me to learn… but I desire to have a way to make it more than just mere entertainment, Lord! Please give me wisdom, patience, and humility. Show me WHY you have made me with this bottomless pit style brain that just keeps wanting MORE INPUT, heeheehee.

2 Peter 1:3-8 ERV

Jesus has the power of God. And his power has given us everything we need to live a life devoted to God. We have these things because we know him. Jesus chose us by his glory and goodness,
through which he also gave us the very great and rich gifts that he promised us. With these gifts you can share in being like God. And so you will escape the ruin that comes to people in the world because of the evil things they want.
Because you have these blessings, do all you can to add to your life these things: to your faith add goodness; to your goodness add knowledge;
to your knowledge add self-control; to your self-control add patience; to your patience add devotion to God;
to your devotion add kindness toward your brothers and sisters in Christ, and to this kindness add love.
If all these things are in you and growing, you will never fail to be useful to God. You will produce the kind of fruit that should come from your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Lord, I thank you for giving me a love of learning and a quest for knowledge. I ask you to help me be humble and practice self-control, even in my learning. Show me how to be a good stewardess of the blessings and resources you have provided, from my awesome Mate and our little home on wheels, to my brain and body and will and spirit and TIME. Amen. 🙂
