Good morning, Father.
Thank you for the birds singing sweetly outside the camper this morning. Thank you for the promise of sun and 50 degrees this afternoon — even if the windchill is in the teens right now, lol. Thank you for the patience and kindness of my Mate, and thank you for the kindness of our “boss” to let us borrow his truck to run our errands yesterday. It is nice to know that I have clean clothes again… haven’t done laundry since last year! Heehee — hard to sneak in a New Year humor-line (not really a joke) when it’s over 3 weeks in! Thank you, Lord, that I am less discouraged today, even if I am still pretty low-affect (otherwise known as “blah”). The shame monster is snoozing and I have a more neutral outlook so far today — even if I am not yet back to my sunshiney self YET. I give you my weepy heart, my confused brain, and everything else that I possess, faithful Shepherd. I still think you’re getting a bad deal — not sure what you can make with these broken parts of me — but I trust you to create something for your own glory. Amen.

1Pe 5:10 ERV  Yes, you will suffer for a short time. But after that, God will make everything right. He will make you strong. He will support you and keep you from falling. He is the God who gives all grace. He chose you to share in his glory in Christ. That glory will continue forever.
Jud 1:24 ERV  God is strong and can keep you from falling. He can bring you before his glory without any wrong in you and give you great joy.
Heb 2:10 ERV  God—the one who made all things and for whose glory all things exist—wanted many people to be his children and share his glory. So he did what he needed to do. He made perfect the one who leads those people to salvation. He made Jesus a perfect Savior through his suffering.

Romans 12:1-2 ERV

So I beg you, brothers and sisters, because of the great mercy God has shown us, offer your lives as a living sacrifice to him—an offering that is only for God and pleasing to him. Considering what he has done, it is only right that you should worship him in this way.
Don’t change yourselves to be like the people of this world, but let God change you inside with a new way of thinking. Then you will be able to understand and accept what God wants for you. You will be able to know what is good and pleasing to him and what is perfect.
