Good morning, Father!
Thank you for such a full and productive work day yesterday, basically nonstop from 6am until after 1am this morning! And silly me, I’m back to work at 7am this morning, lol. Lord, please help me stay balanced, help me take breaks, help me to avoid burnout and the negative outlook that comes with it. Help me to stay positive and focused on the good that I am doing for others and the potential for work in the future. If anyone says anything negative or underappreciative about my work, myself, or my Mate — PLEASE help me to remember that I do NOT have to defend myself — YOU are the One whose opinion REALLY counts. You know how us little humans get sensitive about our creations when we’ve put sooooooo much of our heart into them! So right now, Lord, I am making a sincere attempt to hand over to you every last ounce of my attachment to my work, my time, and my SELF. Everything I’ve done, it is for YOU. Therefore the entirely of the reward comes from YOU. I truly need no recognition, no payment, no acknowledgement. I have been enjoying creating with the Creator. YOUR approval is ENOUGH. Help me to remain strong and focused on you, faithful Shepherd. Amen.

Colossians 3:23-24 ERV

In all the work you are given, do the best you can. Work as though you are working for the Lord, not any earthly master.
Remember that you will receive your reward from the Lord, who will give you what he promised his people.
Yes, you are serving Christ. He is your real Master.

Lord, I thank you for the FUN work of illustrating a few lines by two of my favorite poets (my son, and YOUR son in Iowa). I give that idea and its motivation and potential to YOU. If you would have me continue, please let my three poetry peeps (the two men and my dear sister in New York) let me know, and please bless my efforts — let it bear whatever fruit YOU would have it produce, Lord. Amen.

Also, Father, I thank you for helping me get such an awesome start on the Facebook page for my new project, Back Acre RV Park. I offer that project up to you as well, in its entirety. You and I both know that I have already put in a full-time week’s worth of work in it, paid out of my own pocket for things I need, and done work that others would charge several hundred dollars for — even a thousand or more!! But you and I both also know that it quenches my creativity to do work for money. I despise money. But our truck needs insurance and registration and minor repairs. I have no transportation to get my clothes washed, and we are technically behind on rent, with the park owner feeling like we are dependent upon him. Lord, he belongs to you as well. Please do help him realize that I have already done work for him this week that is valued at a few months’ worth of rent here — and I am only just beginning, barely made a dent into all that I WILL do, if you allow me to, Lord. Please help me to keep my mouth shut and let YOU defend me, Lord. And please move this man’s heart to give us whatever YOU want him to give us, in return for my “skilled labor”. I trust you completely, faithful Shepherd, and I am giving all my needs and all my little worries over into your big, capable Hands right NOW. Amen. 🙂
