Good morning, Father!
Thank you for bringing me safely into this new season of my life where I have no car and thus must enjoy a daily walk to the grocery store to try to keep up with carrying home our needs! Thank you for the opportunity to turn a new page in my calendar, an empty page waiting for all my notations of work accomplished and blessings received! Thank you for the joy and anticipation in my heart, ready to do your will and to grow in you! Thank you that my little dog is still alive, and seems so happy and even playful at times! Thank you for not letting him suffer, but giving him a good last days/months/year(s) of life…! Thank you for teaching me contentment and humility, which I am still learning and always will. Thank you for taking care of my husband and children, bringing good things and good people into their lives. Please continue to care for each one of us and please bring each one of my children into a personal relationship with you. 😀
Luke 16:10-13 ERV
Whoever can be trusted with small things can also be trusted with big things. Whoever is dishonest in little things will be dishonest in big things too.
If you cannot be trusted with worldly riches, you will not be trusted with the true riches.
And if you cannot be trusted with the things that belong to someone else, you will not be given anything of your own.
“You cannot serve two masters at the same time. You will hate one master and love the other. Or you will be loyal to one and not care about the other. You cannot serve God and Money at the same time.”
Lord, I can never serve Money as a master, for I do not love money and I have little respect for it. Still, I also realize that my husband will not always be able to work as hard as he does, and in fact all this labor is taking a toll on his body and on his vehicle. Father, I have not forsaken the things you have given me to do. Yet they do not seem to provide much money. I pray that you bless my work and let it produce a good enough income that my husband will not feel so pressured to work so hard, and so that we can have enough to pay off our debts AND to help other people financially as well. I trust you to bring the increase, my Lord! Please guide me, show me what to do to accomplish your will. Amen.
