Good morning, Shepherd.
I am hanging on for dear life, and so is my husband. We are trusting you, Lord. Please come through for us, be our hero, meet our needs. As far as we know, we have done everything you asked of us. I remember nothing you have asked me to repent of that I resisted, nothing that has caused this desperate situation. I have been doing what you put before me, whatever you give me to do. And now I cannot even afford to buy any more food. Please show us your mercy, Oh Lord!

2 John 1-3 ERV

Greetings from the Elder. To the lady chosen by God and to her children. I truly love all of you. And I am not the only one. All those who know the truth love you in the same way.
We love you because of the truth–the truth that lives in us. That truth will be with us forever.
Grace, mercy, and peace will be with us from God the Father and from his Son, Jesus Christ, as we live in truth and love.

Thank you, Lord, for the comfort and promise of these verses. Thank you for choosing me, loving me, and giving me your grace, mercy, and peace. You have not changed, just because my circumstances are dire. You are not any less faithful. Let my heart trust in you, and let me continue to do as you direct me, cheerfully.

James 5:11 ERV

And we say that those who accepted their troubles with patience now have God’s blessing. You have heard about Job’s patience. You know that after all his troubles, the Lord helped him. This shows that the Lord is full of mercy and is kind.

Lord, I do not know in what form your mercy will come, but I do know for certain that you are Faithful! Thank you for the calm peace I have in my heart, overshadowing and overpowering the trembling of my flesh. Please let that trembling be soothed by your Word and your Spirit, and let me bear fruit for you today, My Lord! 😀

Luke 8:11-15 ERV

“This is what the story means: The seed is God’s teaching.
Some people are like the seed that fell beside the path. They hear God’s teaching, but then the devil comes and causes them to stop thinking about it. This keeps them from believing it and being saved.
Others are like the seed that fell on rock. That is like the people who hear God’s teaching and gladly accept it. But they don’t have deep roots. They believe for a while. But when trouble comes, they turn away from God.
“What about the seed that fell among the thorny weeds? That is like the people who hear God’s teaching, but they let the worries, riches, and pleasures of this life stop them from growing. So they never produce a crop.
And what about the seed that fell on the good ground? That is like the people who hear God’s teaching with a good, honest heart. They obey it and patiently produce a good crop.

Lord, I thank you that I never forgot your Word. Thank you for letting me know you and your faithfulness so much that when troubles come, I run TO you, cling to you as now, rather than running away from you. Thank you for bearing at least some fruit in me — the kind that you see but perhaps the world puts little value on (because it doesn’t pay the bills!). Please do not let the worries of this world rob me of bearing fruit for you. Help me to have that good, honest heart that obeys your Word and produces a crop for you. Help me to weed my garden, caring little for the pleasures of this life which could stop me from growing. I delight in you, Jesus. I grow and am strengthened and comforted because of you, Holy Spirit. I am alive, miraculously, because of you, Father. Thank you for choosing me! :O>
