Good morning, Father!
Thank you so much for providing the tool my husband needed at a good price, so he can continue to do his job. Lord, I ask you to please put your own special pressure on the owners of the company my husband worked for, to convince them to pay him the $2000 or so that they owe him for his last several weeks of work, for which he never got paid. Lord, help them do what is right, and to give him as much as they possibly can, as soon as they possibly can, so we can finally get caught up on rent! Lord, I know my car is not a priority, and I will most likely not have one for a while, but I still lift that up to you and ask you to provide for my transportation needs as well. Thank you for your awesome faithful provision for us, Shepherd. You always come through! 😀
2 Peter 1:3-8 ERV
Jesus has the power of God. And his power has given us everything we need to live a life devoted to God. We have these things because we know him. Jesus chose us by his glory and goodness,
through which he also gave us the very great and rich gifts that he promised us. With these gifts you can share in being like God. And so you will escape the ruin that comes to people in the world because of the evil things they want.
Because you have these blessings, do all you can to add to your life these things: to your faith add goodness; to your goodness add knowledge;
to your knowledge add self-control; to your self-control add patience; to your patience add devotion to God;
to your devotion add kindness toward your brothers and sisters in Christ, and to this kindness add love.
If all these things are in you and growing, you will never fail to be useful to God. You will produce the kind of fruit that should come from your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Thank you, Jesus, that you have already given me every single thing I need to live a life that is pleasing to God. Thank you that I do not need to earn these things in any way, but that I receive them for knowing you, and for being known of you. I give you my life, my heart, my mind, my time. Continue to guide me and cleanse me and grow me. Help me to escape ruin from wanting things I do not actually need. And please give me discernment, so that I know which things those are, for many wants masquerade as needs. For example, I feel I NEED comfort, but I already have a Comforter.
John 14:26-27 KJV
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Lord, please let your Holy Spirit comfort me and continue to teach me, helping me apply your Word to my life. Thank you for the peace I have, even as I face possible eviction and almost certain loss of my car. Thank you that I have everything I truly do need, including joy and courage. Thank you, Lord, for choosing me! 😀
