Good morning, God.
Please, please take care of me and my Little Ones today. I feel afraid, shaky, unstable. Help me to be brave and face what needs to be done. Let me do it in stages, if that will help. And when it is over, please let me relax and do some art or something refreshing. Hold my hand, Lord. I feel like a fool, but I really need your help. I don’t think THAT is foolish! 🙂
1 Corinthians 1:27-31 ERV
But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise. He chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.
And God chose what the world thinks is not important–what the world hates and thinks is nothing. He chose these to destroy what the world thinks is important.
God did this so that no one can stand before him and boast about anything.
It is God who has made you part of Christ Jesus. And Christ has become for us wisdom from God. He is the reason we are right with God and pure enough to be in his presence. Christ is the one who set us free from sin.
So, as the Scriptures say, “Whoever boasts should boast only about the Lord.”
Thank you, Lord, that my wisdom and courage come from Jesus and from you, so I don’t have to try to muster it up from within my shaky heart and mind! Thank you that I can walk boldly forward, knowing you are with me, I am just a sheep with my Shepherd beside me, caring for me, protecting me. Even if I were to get hurt, you would make everything okay. I can rest in you, knowing I am safe. Thank you, Lord Jesus! Thank you, Father God! Yay! Let my works bring glory to your name, even if they are small and weak and seemingly foolish. I’m glad you chose such little, “unimportant” things! 😀
