Good morning, Father.
Thank you for this absolutely beautiful weather we are having here in Iowa lately!! It is so nice to experience a “normal” summer instead of the blasting heat of Texas! Please continue to shower your mercy upon my Mate who IS still in the Texas heat, and please help him finish up his things down there and travel north to me, in your perfect timing, Lord. Father, I also thank you for all the fun conversation with my daughter yesterday! Please be with her, strengthen her heart and mind and body to accomplish all that you have for her in the near and distant future. Please be near to each of my sons as well, Lord, as they each struggle forward in this crazy life you’ve given us to live. Give peace and joy to my dear friend in New York, my mother-in-law in Texas, and all the other peeps in whom my heart has found delight. Lead us all into a deeper experience with you, faithful Shepherd. Amen.

2 Corinthians 4:7-10 ERV

We have this treasure from God, but we are only like clay jars that hold the treasure. This is to show that the amazing power we have is from God, not from us.
We have troubles all around us, but we are not defeated. We often don’t know what to do, but we don’t give up.
We are persecuted, but God does not leave us. We are hurt sometimes, but we are not destroyed.

So we constantly experience the death of Jesus in our own bodies, but this is so that the life of Jesus can also be seen in our bodies.
