Good morning, Father!
Thank you for getting me up bright and early on this Sabbath morning. Thank you so much for giving me hope again, a purpose, a goal, some way to make my time and skills and talents more valuable, more helpful to others. Thank you for lighting a fire inside me, a fervency, a zeal. Please keep that fire burning brightly, and let it warm my heart and mind for the rest of my life. Thank you for giving me clarity this morning, and a next step to accomplish toward this new goal. Please bless my efforts, guide my time, and establish this ministry you have given me. Let it bring light and hope to as many people as you would have it reach. Thank you, Mighty Lord, Redeemer, Faithful Shepherd!

1 Corinthians 16:9a ERV

I will stay here, because a good opportunity for a great and growing work has been given to me now.

Matthew 16:15-19 KJV

He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

I thank you, Lord, that you have always seen into people’s hearts and known not only what they need, but what they have to give. Thank you for shining your light into mine own heart and showing me that I, too, have something to give. Thank you for all the prayers of strangers I’ve received since I put up prayer requests online. Thank you for hearing all our prayers, and touching our lives. I ask that you bless every single person who has seen my prayer requests, and responded in their own way. Please bless each one in a special, personal way in which only you know they need.

Father, I give you my time, my mind, my self. Let me work diligently for you, and not be discouraged or dismayed or distracted by the lack of income. Rather, let me just keep doing what YOU would have me to do, and trust you for the increase. Even if I do lose my car or even my home, I know that you have begun a work in me that you will finish in your own timing. Still, Father, I ask that you have mercy on myself and upon my husband and meet our financial needs. Bring us to a place where we can stop visiting the food pantry and instead give to it! Let us have enough to give to others abundantly, Lord, and to do things for others for FREE, just because we see a need. Father, you see our hearts. You know that both of us have almost no attachment to money and do not even count our own time precious, but would rather be giving ourselves and our possessions away to those who have greater need for them. I ask you to bring us to a place in life where this desire of our hearts may be fulfilled, that we can finally start living and giving FREELY. Thank you, Lord! πŸ˜€

I made this poem for my older sister just before I left for NC.

A sister is a world of love tied deeply to my heart
The oceans flow between us but we’ll never be apart
The shadows may find darkness and fires find their blaze
But through it all the Lord shall see us to better days
The coming draws us nearer to the time when we will spend
Our friendship and our sisterhood together, to the end
So as I leave your path know my heart to you has clung
And again we’ll wake up sisters like we did when we were young
