Hello, Father!
Thank you for this peaceful crazy day and thank you for my Mate’s new phone and the ability to talk to my son — and for him to be humored by my silly Mate and his antics! 😀 Thank you for helping me thrive despite less than optimum sleep, and thank you for the breeze which is once again making the near-90 degree heat more bearable. Thank you for this little bit of time that I might be able to make more progress on my work and little pet projects — unless something else comes up before I get to it, lol. Father, I am so grateful for your Spirit in me and in my Mate, helping us to not get too uptight about things but allowing YOUR timing and purpose to be fulfilled in us — or at least as much as is possible with us two very imperfect humans. 😉

Isaiah 55:8-11 ERV

The LORD says, “My thoughts are not like yours. Your ways are not like mine.
Just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways, and my thoughts are higher than your thoughts.”
“Rain and snow fall from the sky and don’t return until they have watered the ground. Then the ground causes the plants to sprout and grow, and they produce seeds for the farmer and food for people to eat.
In the same way, my words leave my mouth, and they don’t come back without results. My words make the things happen that I want to happen. They succeed in doing what I send them to do.

Lord, I love your Words. I thank you that they are fruitful, even when my own thoughts and plans and words fall short. I have such good ideas, yet so few of them ever receive the time and effort required to make them manifest. I have so many things I want to learn, yet so few things are actually remembered. I want to design some “Exploration Journals” to help me and perhaps others retain what they learn a little better — little printed cubbyholes to fill with tidbits of knowledge and observations and comparisons. Yet I know that it is not my ideas but YOURS that bear fruit. So I offer all my little pet projects up to you, and I ask you to prune away the fruitless, useless ones and show me what YOU would have me to work on instead. Thank you for your faithful guidance and longsuffering patience with little me, Shepherd. Amen.
