Good morning, Father!
It is nice to have things somewhat back to normal this morning. Thank you for these last 4 days or more of intensity, yet closeness and fellowship and seeing the “big picture”. Thank you for taking such good care of us, and showing us your tender mercy. Please help me move forward in my walk with you, following my Shepherd to the next pasture of life. Help me to remember that I am only a little sheep who NEEDS a Shepherd to follow. I am not wise enough to choose my own path, or even my own timing of movements. Please guide me, Jesus, through your awesome Holy Spirit. Help me to become less and less dependent upon my own self — my own eyes and brain and plans — and more calmly, trustingly dependent upon YOU! 🙂
Proverbs 3:3-8 ERV
Don’t ever let love and loyalty leave you. Tie them around your neck, and write them on your heart.
Then God will be pleased and think well of you and so will everyone else.
Trust the LORD completely, and don’t depend on your own knowledge.
With every step you take, think about what he wants, and he will help you go the right way.
Don’t trust in your own wisdom, but fear and respect the LORD and stay away from evil.
If you do this, it will be like a refreshing drink and medicine for your body.
Thank you, Father God, for allowing your Word to still be with us today, so we can know you and have enduring wisdom to grow into. Please increase my wisdom, my love, and my loyalty to you and your path. Help me not to go astray or be too long distracted by what I think I need. Let me instead look to you, staying away from any evil that lurks nearby, threatening to derail me. Protect me, Lord, even as I cling to you before your throne. I trust not only in your Faithfulness and Mighty Power, but also in your Mercy. Make me even more merciful, so that I may continue to obtain mercy.
Mathew 5:7 KJV
Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
