Hello, Lord.
Thank you so much for this awesome day, the pleasant weather as well as the peace and progress! Thank you for the wood we found and brought back with us to our little campsite, and thank you for my awesome Mate and his ability and willingness to do so very many things to make our lives comfortable and light and full of adventure. Thank you for my own sense of adventure and my growing ability to just go with the flow and not have to plan ahead or try to figure things out. Thank you for our solar panels and the awesome good deals we got today at Harbor Freight, including free tarps, an elastic net with hooks to protect our solar panels, and even my new little plastic clamps, heehee. Thank you for making me free and light enough to sort through the natural items I collected at our last little campsite park, and please continue to encourage me in all my little work and learning adventures. I look forward to learning and creating each and every day. Thank you for restoring my hope and my joy and my enthusiasm, faithful Shepherd!! 😀

1 Peter 5:3-11 ERV

Don’t be like a ruler over those you are responsible for. But be good examples to them.
Then when Christ the Ruling Shepherd comes, you will get a crown—one that will be glorious and never lose its beauty.
Young people, I have something to say to you too. You should accept the authority of the elders. You should all have a humble attitude in dealing with each other. “God is against the proud, but he is kind to the humble.”
So be humble under God’s powerful hand. Then he will lift you up when the right time comes.
Give all your worries to him, because he cares for you.

Control yourselves and be careful! The devil is your enemy, and he goes around like a roaring lion looking for someone to attack and eat.
Refuse to follow the devil. Stand strong in your faith. You know that your brothers and sisters all over the world are having the same sufferings that you have.
Yes, you will suffer for a short time. But after that, God will make everything right. He will make you strong. He will support you and keep you from falling. He is the God who gives all grace. He chose you to share in his glory in Christ. That glory will continue forever.
All power is his forever. Amen.

Father, I thank you for helping me to endure all the most difficult days of my life so far. I thank you for the lessons learned along the way, and I thank you for all the opportunities I’ve had to help people, even in tiny little ways. Please teach me more of your Truth and your ways, Lord. Cleanse me of the things that hinder me from serving you faithfully. Show me how to help people more, and how to appreciate what I have more as well. Thank you, Teacher!
