Hello, Father!
Thank you for the nice hot shower, and thank you for this friendly laundromat with free wifi! Thank you for getting my daughter settled into her new life, safe from harm and any stagnancy! And thank you most of all for the peaceful lakeside campsite, the popup camper, and the wildlife and BBQs and peaceful days and nights shared with my Mate!! Thank you for the joy of watching 7 deer at close range for about half an hour while we cooked our chicken on the grill last night, and thank you for the coyotes we hear each and every night, often very close by. I love their song, Lord! It truly thrills me! Thank you also for motivating me to finish writing and editing one of my new books, and please guide me faithfully in creating the cover and promo elements, and getting it published. Thank you for electricity at the campsite, so I can have a heater and continuous use of my Lenny – even if I have to come into town for internet — that’s okay. Thank you also for the table inside the camper, and my Mate’s willingness to let me use it for my work, any time of day or night. Thank you for bringing me safely through the worst days of this worst month, helping both my heart and my body to heal and grow stronger. Please continue to guide us and help us keep looking to you. Don’t let either one of us wreck your plans for us, Shepherd. Keep us humble, and teachable, and willing to serve and follow you. Amen. 😀

2 Peter 3:8‭-‬9 ERV

But don’t forget this one thing, dear friends: To the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years is like a day. The Lord is not being slow in doing what he promised—the way some people understand slowness. But God is being patient with you. He doesn’t want anyone to be lost. He wants everyone to change their ways and stop sinning.

Father, I thank you for showing to me over and over, how I can completely trust in your perfect timing. Help both me and my Mate to just keep on getting better and better at relaxing, enjoying the present moment, and trusting in you both to guide us and to change our circumstances in your way and in your timing. Help us to learn more of you, ourselves, and your creation each day. Amen.
