Good morning, Father!
It is so very nice to have internet and time to write again, after about a week without!! I do not know why my phone’s mobile data is no longer working, but if it be your will, I ask you to show me how to fix it (again), so I can be more faithful to this little prayer blog and its readers.
Father, I thank you for all you’ve brought me through this long and difficult month. Thank you for removing most of the worst of the situation, and giving me HOPE for change — soon! Thank you for helping me endure long boring days of stagnancy, waiting for someone else’s holiday, feeling stinky and pretty worthless. Thank you for bringing things to a head, so I could break out and be brave enough to change things myself, without waiting for others to decide to take action. Thank you for my courage, my faith, and all the wonderful, awesome people who have been encouraging and helping me these last 18 hours or so. Please prepare both myself and the woman I am meeting with today, and if it be your will for us to live together and help each other out for a time, please let your will be done and don’t let either one of us or anyone else wreck your plans. Help me to be a witness or at least an encouragement to her, even if I never see her again. Please help me to remain humble and kind, forgiving easily and being slower to anger. Please help my husband learn to control his own temper, so that I can feel emotionally safe around him again. I love my Mate more than everything else in this world, Lord, but his sharp tongue is too much for me to bear this long, this cold. Please help us both, Father. I trust you completely. Amen.

James 1:19-27 ERV

My dear brothers and sisters, always be more willing to listen than to speak. Keep control of your anger.
Anger does not help you live the way God wants.
So get rid of everything evil in your lives—every kind of wrong you do. Be humble and accept God’s teaching that is planted in your hearts. This teaching can save you.
Do what God’s teaching says; don’t just listen and do nothing. When you only sit and listen, you are fooling yourselves.
Hearing God’s teaching and doing nothing is like looking at your face in the mirror
and doing nothing about what you saw. You go away and immediately forget how bad you looked.
But when you look into God’s perfect law that sets people free, pay attention to it. If you do what it says, you will have God’s blessing. Never just listen to his teaching and forget what you heard.
You might think you are a very religious person. But if your tongue is out of control, you are fooling yourself. Your careless talk makes your offerings to God worthless.
The worship that God wants is this: caring for orphans or widows who need help and keeping yourself free from the world’s evil influence. This is the kind of worship that God accepts as pure and good.
