Good morning, Father.
Thank you, Lord, for helping me through that rather tortuous day, and thank you for counseling me in my bed this morning before I got up, leading me into a healthy mindset and focus for this day. Please help me to stay faithful to your leading, and not be blown off course by my own emotions. Please keep reminding me that I do NOT have to defend myself. Amen.

James 1:17‭-‬21 AMPC

Every good gift and every perfect (free, large, full) gift is from above; it comes down from the Father of all [that gives] light, in [the shining of] Whom there can be no variation [rising or setting] or shadow cast by His turning [as in an eclipse]. And it was of His own [free] will that He gave us birth [as sons] by [His] Word of Truth, so that we should be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures [a sample of what He created to be consecrated to Himself]. Understand [this], my beloved brethren. Let every man be quick to hear [a ready listener], slow to speak, slow to take offense and to get angry. For man’s anger does not promote the righteousness God [wishes and requires]. So get rid of all uncleanness and the rampant outgrowth of wickedness, and in a humble (gentle, modest) spirit receive and welcome the Word which implanted and rooted [in your hearts] contains the power to save your souls.

Father, I thank you for all the perfect gifts you have given me in this life. Please help me to focus on those rather than on things it FEELS like I need. I know that you are the Source of all good, and all my true needs are met in you. Father, please care for each of my children and their needs as well, and please bless my friends and family in Iowa, in Denton, and in New York. Amen.
