Good morning, Lord.
Please help my daughter have a good day today, since it is her birthday. Please be with my husband in his work, and please help all of us to not worry too much about the coming possible changes. I give my troubled mind and heart to you, my Lord and Shepherd. Help me not to fall. I know that no matter what happens, you are Faithful and you will be with me. Thank you, Lord!
Hebrews 13:5-6 ERV
Keep your lives free from the love of money. And be satisfied with what you have. God has said, “I will never leave you; I will never run away from you.”
So we can feel sure and say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. People can do nothing to me.”
There was a time — or many times, actually — when I feared what people might do to me. Now, my fear is more along the lines of not knowing what to do, when I am alone. This is typical for me, as I try to work and build my websites and try to write books, to make money to help support my family. But now there is a good chance my husband might spend some months in jail (for being behind on child support), and I will be left with his super-cluttered packrat house and too little income to pay all the bills myself. I will not know what to do — sell all his stuff or leave things like they are. If I was totally alone, it wouldn’t be a big deal. I’ve survived on my own before. But I have my daughter, at least until she graduates in June. I am praying she will find a place to live after that — somewhere more stable! Lord, I know you can see far, far down the road and I cannot. Please prepare the way for me and my family to walk across these troubled times on dry ground. Please show me what I need to do, in order to prepare. Thank you for never leaving me, Father!
