Hello, Father.
Thank you for giving me such incredible peace this morning, and thank you for helping me to calmly and happily compose a nice long snail mail letter to my oldest son today, despite all the craziness of change going on around me. Please bless the package I send to him, protect it and let it bring him joy. Please help my upcoming visits to my other three children go very well indeed, let your peace and Joy be in our midst. Amen.

1 Timothy 5:7-8 ERV

Tell the believers there to take care of their family so that no one can say they are doing wrong.
Everyone should take care of all their own people. Most important, they should take care of their own family. If they do not do that, then they do not accept what we believe. They are worse than someone who does not even believe in God.

Lord, I thank you for teaching me so much about family this year. Thank you for restoring relationships and for giving everyone a chance to help each other, to share our testimonies of your work in our lives, and to offer each other whatever we have, for the good of all. Please help me to be faithful to you, above all else, today as I meet with yet another family member, one that is perhaps the most difficult to forgive, and therefore has a high potential for growth and greater freedom. Please help me to conduct myself wisely and not play to my emotions, Lord. I give you this day, my heart, my time, my tongue. Protect us all, prepare our hearts and minds, and let your will be done. Let your peace reign here this day. Amen.
