Nov 13

Good morning, Father.
Thank you for the coming opportunities for greater healing and restoration and freedom. Thank you for giving me enough humility and courage to face this coming week boldly, fully trusting you to provide and protect us. Thank you for making me one of your Little Ones, part of the family of people who care more about submitting to you and pleasing you, than doing things our own ways and gathering stores into our barns here on earth. I give you my mouth, my mind, my hands, my heart, my time. Please don’t let me mess anything up with my crazy human emotions and desires and blindspots. Thank you for helping me every step of every day, faithful Shepherd!

1 Corinthians 3:11-20 ERV

The foundation that has already been built is Jesus Christ, and no one can build any other foundation.
People can build on that foundation using gold, silver, jewels, wood, grass, or straw.
But the work that each person does will be clearly seen, because the Day will make it plain. That Day will appear with fire, and the fire will test everyone’s work.
If the building they put on the foundation still stands, they will get their reward.
But if their building is burned up, they will suffer loss. They will be saved, but it will be like someone escaping from a fire.
You should know that you yourselves are God’s temple. God’s Spirit lives in you.
If you destroy God’s temple, God will destroy you, because God’s temple is holy. You yourselves are God’s temple.
Don’t fool yourselves. Whoever thinks they are wise in this world should become a fool. That’s the only way they can be wise.
I say this because the wisdom of this world is foolishness to God. As the Scriptures say, “He catches those who think they are wise in their own clever traps.”
The Scriptures also say, “The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise. He knows that their thoughts are worth nothing.”

Lord, I thank you for letting me live in the presence of Fire each and every day, letting it burn away the chaff and leave behind only the sure things of the Spirit. I know I still have a long way to travel with that Fire, and I thank you for burning me so faithfully, so patiently pruning away the things of my flesh which would hinder my walk with you. Cleanse me, Father. Purify me to be used as a faithful vessel for you, to touch others’ lives with your Love, your mercy, your joy. Help me to let go of my perceived weaknesses and allow you to turn them into strengths for you. Amen.
