Good morning, Father!
Thank you so much for the massive productivity yesterday, and please do help me finish that project up today. If you would rather me work on something else, please let me know clearly, so I have a chance to obey and be pleasing to you. I leave it in your hands, trusting you to make yourself known to me. Thank you, Father!
John 10:9-14 ERV
I am the gate. Whoever enters through me will be saved. They will be able to come in and go out. They will find everything they need.
A thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy. But I came to give life–life that is full and good.
“I am the good shepherd, and the good shepherd gives his life for the sheep.
The worker who is paid to keep the sheep is different from the shepherd. The paid worker does not own the sheep. So when he sees a wolf coming, he runs away and leaves the sheep alone. Then the wolf attacks the sheep and scatters them.
The man runs away because he is only a paid worker. He does not really care for the sheep.
“I am the shepherd who cares for the sheep. I know my sheep just as the Father knows me. And my sheep know me just as I know the Father. I give my life for these sheep.
Thank you, Jesus, for being my Shepherd. Please help me to hear your voice clearly, and to know your Holy Spirit’s comfort and your Father’s will. Let me be found a good and faithful servant.
Matthew 25:22-23 KJV
He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them.
His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
Lord, I grow weary of this life. I long to enter into your rest. Yet I know I will feel this many more times before I finally reach my eternal destination. Please help me to find good and useful work to do for you while I am here, so that my staying here, apart from you, will bring you glory, and make it all worth it. Help me hang on to you, and not be stubborn and resentful as I am buffeted by things in this life. Let me just keep my eyes on you and the joy of your presence forever near me. Thank you, Jesus! 😀
