Good morning, Lord.
Thank you for the strength and health of my body, and the energetic motivation in my mind and heart this day. Thank you for all the people who have played a role in my life, for better or for worse — even those who seem like “bad people” for the most part, but who have enough of YOU inside them that they have done good things for people, and most likely still do good things in selfless service for others, if only occasionally. Lord, I do not even pretend to know or understand your judgement of us crazy humans and our deeds, but I do know that you examine our hearts, not just our actions. And when you look down upon your children, you see the blood of your own precious Son upon us, and accept us on that basis. Lord, I ask you to touch each of my loved ones, and all those who have ever helped me, especially those who have done so behind the scenes, without any reward or acknowledgement. Let your touch heal each of us, and with each touch make us just a little bit more like you than like our own selves. Shower your mercy upon us, and give us your peace. Amen.

Exodus 12:23 ERV

At the time the LORD goes through Egypt to kill the firstborn, he will see the blood on the sides and top of each doorframe. Then he will protect that house and not let the Destroyer come into any of your houses and hurt you.

Hebrews 9:14-15 ERV

So surely the blood sacrifice of Christ can do much more. Christ offered himself through the eternal Spirit as a perfect sacrifice to God. His blood will make us completely clean from the evil we have done. It will give us clear consciences so that we can worship the living God.
So Christ brings a new agreement from God to his people. He brings this agreement so that those who are chosen by God can have the blessings God promised, blessings that last forever. This can happen only because Christ died to free people from sins committed against the commands of the first agreement.

1 John 1:7-9 ERV

We should live in the light, where God is. If we live in the light, we have fellowship with each other, and the blood sacrifice of Jesus, God’s Son, washes away every sin and makes us clean.
If we say that we have no sin, we are fooling ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
But if we confess our sins, God will forgive us. We can trust God to do this. He always does what is right. He will make us clean from all the wrong things we have done.

Father, I thank you for giving me so very much to keep me busy, keep me learning and growing and working and building and even helping others. I thank you for the health (both mental and physical) of myself and each one of my loved ones. Truly the only worry I am tempted to entertain is that my Mate and I will wear out our welcome here at my sister’s before your timing allows us to be ready to leave. How foolish of me, because I KNOW that I can trust you, faithful Shepherd. Your timing is ALWAYS perfect. I am finally seeing the reality that our human nature ensures that there is ALWAYS something that is worthy of our worry, or at least that presents itself as being so. I am truly blessed that I ever have ANY moments that are completely free of all worry. Thank you for each one of those moments, however short, and please help me to lift the burden of my current worry to you, and TRUST you to know and do what is best for little me. Amen.
