Father, I thank you for this peaceful slow day that all of a sudden seems to be ending before I realize much time has passed. I feel like I didn’t do much today beyond listening to music and sorting little girls’ clothing in preparation for the visit of my sister’s granddaughters here. Father, I thank you for being with my husband and his son in Texas, watching over them and having their back. I thank you that we can all trust you to care for us faithfully, giving us favor with men and beasts, and protecting us from them and their societies and rules and other such burdens. Thank you for making me so FREE, giving me the name Fran which literally means “Free One”. How awesome is that? Thank you, Father. My earthly father may have traded my body for money for the first decade of my life, but YOU, oh Lord, make me feel like a princess with your enduring patient and loving care. Thank you for blessing me with your Name. Amen.

Ephesians 3:14-21 ERV

So I bow in prayer before the Father.
Every family in heaven and on earth gets its true name from him.
I ask the Father with his great glory to give you the power to be strong in your spirits. He will give you that strength through his Spirit.
I pray that Christ will live in your hearts because of your faith. I pray that your life will be strong in love and be built on love.
And I pray that you and all God’s holy people will have the power to understand the greatness of Christ’s love—how wide, how long, how high, and how deep that love is.
Christ’s love is greater than anyone can ever know, but I pray that you will be able to know that love. Then you can be filled with everything God has for you.
With God’s power working in us, he can do much, much more than anything we can ask or think of.
To him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus for all time, forever and ever. Amen.

Lord, I thank you for your amazing Love, and for allowing me to learn more about you and your miraculous redemption and restoration all the time. Thank you for pruning me carefully, removing obstacles in my mind and heart, things that would exalt themselves against your name and cause me to do things my own way instead of looking to you. Please continue your work in me, blowing away the chaff to leave ripe fruit for your glory. Amen.
