Good morning, Father!
Thank you again for another awesome day of learning and progress yesterday! It is looking like today will be my last major day of packing and organizing my stuff, with just some art supplies left and my favorite nature books. Hopefully all that will be left is fine-tuning, figuring out exactly what is able to go with me, and what must be left behind. Thank you for my special box that MAY become my little creative suitcase holding a bit of materials for me to take on the road and still make some tangible artworks and other items, not just digital ones. Still, the variety and scope of digital opportunities set before me is knocking me on my behind — truly the only limitation IS one’s own imagination!! Thank you, Lord God, for allowing me to live in this age of exciting developments in technology — yet making a way for me to get closer to nature even while I use these cutting-edge, industry-standard applications. Truly I am blessed! 😀
2 Peter 1:3-8 ERV
Jesus has the power of God. And his power has given us everything we need to live a life devoted to God. We have these things because we know him. Jesus chose us by his glory and goodness,
through which he also gave us the very great and rich gifts that he promised us. With these gifts you can share in being like God. And so you will escape the ruin that comes to people in the world because of the evil things they want.
Because you have these blessings, do all you can to add to your life these things: to your faith add goodness; to your goodness add knowledge;
to your knowledge add self-control; to your self-control add patience; to your patience add devotion to God;
to your devotion add kindness toward your brothers and sisters in Christ, and to this kindness add love.
If all these things are in you and growing, you will never fail to be useful to God. You will produce the kind of fruit that should come from your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Lord, I thank you for your patience with me. Today is one of the times when I feel little patience for myself. I feel weepy and needy, clinging to you for dear life. But it is awesome to know that as long as your love and other fruit are growing in me, that I am still useful to you, like the verses above point out. I thank you that you made a way for us to be good and accepted, even though we are just faulty humans. Thank you for your awesome loving mercy, Lord!
