Good morning, Father.
Thank you for the awesome progress yesterday, packing and organizing the rest of my books, and learning more about video production using After Effects CC. Lord, I must admit that my heart is a bit heavy, facing the task of choosing which — if any — art supplies to pack away, which to abandon as lost (if not all of it!), and which to put aside in hopes of bringing with me, if circumstances allow. While I still trust you fully, I must be honest that it hurts my heart this morning to think of not having a place for my artworks or my art supplies. Thank you for showing me the possibility of learning how to use some of them in the outdoors, creating art on the fly, in the wind, and please help me not to throw away or pack away anything that you want me to take with me on this coming adventure into the Unknown.
Psalm 18:19-28 ERV
He was pleased with me, so he rescued me. He took me to a safe place.
The LORD rewarded me for doing what is right. He was good to me because I am innocent.
The LORD did this because I have obeyed him. I have not turned against my God.
I always remembered his laws. I never rejected his rules.
He knows I did nothing that was wrong. I have kept myself from sinning.
So the LORD rewarded me for doing what is right. He could see that I am innocent.
Lord, you are faithful to those who are faithful. You are good to those who are good.
You never do wrong to those who have done no wrong. But you outsmart the wicked, no matter how clever they are.
You help those who are humble, but you humiliate the proud.
LORD, you provide the flame for my lamp. You, God, turn the darkness around me into light.
I like to read this Psalm in the Amplified Classic (AMPC) version on my phone. Because I do not like to think of myself as “doing right” and being rewarded by God (because any righteousness I have comes only from Jesus!), I like how the AMPC translates the above highlighted phrase “doing what is right” this way: “my conscious integrity and sincerity with Him”. Now THAT is something we simple humans can accomplish: being sincere and having integrity (being REAL and having the same opinions and beliefs no matter the situation or audience). And I really DO feel like God rewards those things in me — but I also think most of His protection and provision is due to my utter dependence upon Him, lol. 😀
