Thank you for your awesome mercy and grace and patience and nurturing care, Lord God! Thank you for peace and closeness and fellowship and hope for the future. Thank you for freedom, even though the cost is one that most people are not willing to pay. I am eager to be rid of this falling-down house, even while I still am appreciating the little conveniences like running water and a washing machine. I thank you that I can be happy and joyful in any and every situation, my Lord! 🙂
Psalm 16:5-11 ERV
LORD, you give me all that I need. You support me. You give me my share.
My share is wonderful. My inheritance is very beautiful.
I praise the LORD because he taught me well. Even at night he put his instructions deep inside my mind.
I always remember that the LORD is with me. He is here, close by my side, so nothing can defeat me.
So my heart and soul will be very happy. Even my body will live in safety,
because you will not leave me in the place of death. You will not let your faithful one rot in the grave.
You will teach me the right way to live. Just being with you will bring complete happiness. Being at your right side will make me happy forever.
Lord, I thank you for all you give me. I feel like the richest woman in the world, truly blessed indeed! Thank you for helping me pack up four more boxes of my belongings yesterday, even though I still do not know if I will even be able to put them in storage or if I will just have to abandon them here where they sit. I do not NEED to know. I do not NEED these items. I only prepare them in this way, in order to be a good stewardess to the books and such that you have blessed me with in the last several years. I would LIKE to have a permanent place for my library, Lord — somewhere that they can be used and enjoyed by more than just myself. If it please you, Lord, please provide a home for my books where I can share them with others. Thank you, kind Shepherd.
