Good morning, Father.
I am feeling yucky today. Yucky body, yucky attitude, sucky outlook on life. The weather is awesome, I got more sleep than usual… so what is my DEAL?! Yes, I have been dealing with a female whom I find extremely irritating. But that really shouldn’t be enough to make me feel like this. Lord, I give you my crabby self and ask you to cleanse me and make me humble and patient. Return to me the joy of your presence, and be with us all as my daughter and I make a tiny trip to go visit her brother in college. Thank you, Lord!

Hebrews 6:10-12 ERV

God is fair, and he will remember all the work you have done. He will remember that you showed your love to him by helping his people and that you continue to help them.
We want each of you to be willing and eager to show your love like that the rest of your life. Then you will be sure to get what you hope for.
We don’t want you to be lazy. We want you to be like those who, because of their faith and patience, will get what God has promised.

Lord, I have such an easy time encouraging most people. I delight in complimenting them and pointing out their strengths, as well as encouraging their dreams and efforts. I don’t know why a few people get on my nerves, but I ask you to help me be more like you — “no respecter of persons”.

Acts 10:34 KJV

Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:

Acts 10:34-35 ERV

Peter began to speak: “I really understand now that God does not consider some people to be better than others.
He accepts anyone who worships him and does what is right. It is not important what nation they come from.

Lord, it is obvious here that you do not care what ethnic group people come from — we should treat them all the same. You see that this is something I have never struggled with. I hardly even remember what skin color someone is, and I tend to prefer people based on how unique they are — their choice of clothing, words, behavior. You also see that I have always struggled when dealing with women in general and certain types of women in particular. I ask you to heal this in me, Lord. Clease my heart of all prejudice so that I may be a more pure vessel and better witness for you. Thank you, Father! šŸ˜€
