Good morning, Father.
Thank you so much for holding my heart, helping me stay put rather than run. Please let my voice be heard and restore to me my honor. I ask you to detach me enough from this situation that it no longer undermines my self-confidence, preventing me from growing and moving forward. I want to be FREE, as my namesake declares. Fran means “Free One”, and I want to be free in whatever way YOU see fit. If I must be a slave to a man who keeps betraying me and too often treats me with disrespect, please help me to respond with love and compassion and let YOU be my honor and my restorer. Protect me in YOUR way, Oh Lord!

I Corinthians 13:4-8 KJV

Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

I Corinthians 13:4-8 Easy Read Version

Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous, it does not brag, and it is not proud.
Love is not rude, it is not selfish, and it cannot be made angry easily. Love does not remember wrongs done against it.
Love is never happy when others do wrong, but it is always happy with the truth.
Love never gives up on people. It never stops trusting, never loses hope, and never quits.
Love will never end. But all those gifts will come to an end–even the gift of prophecy, the gift of speaking in different kinds of languages, and the gift of knowledge.

Lord, please teach me your love. Make me strong enough, patient enough, selfless enough, to hang on to hope and never give up. Help me to show love even when I am hurting. Let me be a good and faithful witness of your miraculous and powerful love!
