Good morning, Lord.
Thank you for growing me past that horrible, difficult day of despair yesterday. Thank you for healing my husband and bringing out the sunshine, so it will be a bit warmer in this house today — physically and emotionally, lol. Father, I thank you for making me unable to give up or give in, no matter how bad it gets. Thank you for making me a survivor, and thank you for teaching me to pay attention to whatever things do not absolutely suck in that one moment I am living in — letting go of overwhelming things of the past and future moments, focusing on NOW, relying upon YOU. Thank you for teaching me and sustaining me, Master. 🙂

Psalm 123 ERV

A song for going up to the Temple. Lord, I look up and pray to you. You sit as King in heaven.
A slave looks to his master to provide what he needs, and a servant girl depends on the woman she serves. So we depend on the LORD our God, waiting for him to have mercy on us.
LORD, be merciful to us, because we have been insulted much too long.
We have had enough of the hateful words of those proud people who make fun of us and show us no respect.

Father, this Psalm expresses just how I feel: helpless, dependent upon you, and completely without hope if I do not have your mercy and grace. I am feeling weary, Lord, but I know that you will sustain me. My heart feels weak, faintish, grasping hope in you like a lifeline. But I know that you will provide. We need a miracle, Father. But I leave that in your capable hands. It is much, much to big for little me. I will just keep doing the work you gave me, and focusing on the moment at hand. Thank you, merciful Shepherd.
