Good morning, Lord!
Thank you for the lovely dream, and for the good night of sleep. Thank you for helping my chest and throat get better, and please help my body to continue to get stronger and heal up. Please help my daughter to not get any sicker, but to just rest and fight off the cold. Thank you for helping my husband get all better and not get as bad as me. Thank you for making all of us strong enough to fight off sickness and stay pretty healthy, no matter what. Father, please help me with my computer today. I keep having new problems, and I am weary of them. Please show me what is important and what is not, and how to fix the important things. Thank you for your patience and care, Shepherd!
Psalm 130 ERV
A song for going up to the Temple. LORD, I am in deep trouble, so I am calling to you for help.
My Lord, listen to me. Listen to my cry for help.
LORD, if you punished people for all their sins, no one would be left alive.
But you forgive people, so they fear and respect you.
I am waiting for the LORD to help me. My soul waits for him. I trust what he says.
I am waiting for my Lord, like a guard waiting and waiting for the morning to come.
Israel, trust in the LORD. The LORD is the one who is faithful and true. He saves us again and again,
and he is the one who will save the people of Israel from all their sins.
Psalm 131 ERV
A song of David for going up to the Temple. LORD, I don’t feel proud. I don’t see myself as better than others. I am not thinking about doing great things or reaching impossible goals.
No, right now I am calm and quiet, like a child after nursing, content in its mother’s arms.
Israel, trust in the LORD. Trust in him now and forever!
Lord, I thank you for this quiet, simple morning. I thank you for the peace and contentment in the house, and I ask you to help me STAY content and not let the worries take over. Help me to just rest and trust in you, and allow time for my body to heal and for you to guide me wherever I am to go next. Help me to stay beside you, patient and attuned to your will. Help me to know your voice better all the time, and to grow in wisdom and confidence and stability. Amen!
