Hello, Father.
Thank you for providing for our needs, and thank you for the peacefulness in the house. Thank you for keeping us warm inside during this crazy cold snap! Father, I give to you my work, my time, my heart, my desires, my vulnerabilities. You see my heart and all that is in it, and I trust you with it all. Thank you for being so faithful and trustworthy, Lord!

Romans 4:4-8 ERV

When people work, their pay is not given to them as a gift. They earn the pay they get.
But people cannot do any work that will make them right with God. So they must trust in him. Then he accepts their faith, and that makes them right with him. He is the one who makes even evil people right.
David said the same thing when he was talking about the blessing people have when God accepts them as good without looking at what they have done:
“It is a great blessing when people are forgiven for the wrongs they have done, when their sins are erased!
It is a great blessing when the Lord accepts people as if they are without sin!”

Lord, I thank you for the awesome gift that is forgiveness and acceptance. I thank you that my work does not have to earn anything but to honor you. And if you use my work to pay our bills, that is fine. And if it doesn’t make enough to pay the bills, you always provide. And when I reach out and do something new, exposing myself, I do it for you and out of love for the people whom you have given me to serve. I need no reward other than to know that I have trusted and obeyed your will for me, Lord. I give it all to you, and ask you to water the fields where you have sent me out to plant seeds. You nurture them, Lord. And let the harvest be yours. I trust you, Shepherd! Your will is perfect. Your reward is ENOUGH.
