Good morning, Lord!
OOOOOOh, I am excited because my youngest son has texted me and wants to visit for Thanksgiving!! Due to my car situation, I have not seen him since he graduated boot camp last summer…! AND I haven’t seen my oldest son since a few months before that, even! So Lord, I am lifting this whole thing up to you and asking you to make things happen! Please bring all four of my children together in one place for Thanksgiving! And if that is not within your plan, please give us a peaceful visit with whomever we can get here, Lord. Let my husband’s truck make it safely to the airport and back, and let your peace reign in our midst. Thank you for all the communication I’ve had with all 4 of my children, Lord. Now I pray that you make a way for them to communicate with each other…! 😀

Psalm 127 ERV

A song from Solomon for going up to the Temple. If it is not the LORD who builds a house, the builders are wasting their time. If it is not the LORD who watches over the city, the guards are wasting their time.
It is a waste of time to get up early and stay up late, trying to make a living. The Lord provides for those he loves, even while they are sleeping.
Children are a gift from the LORD, a reward from a mother’s womb.
A young man’s sons are like the arrows in a soldier’s hand.
The man who fills his quiver with sons will be very blessed. He will never be defeated when he opposes his enemy at the city gates.

Father, I thank you for my children, for all the moments large and small, far distant and more recent, that I have shared with them. I thank you for the honor of being a mother and the reward of seeing them grow and especially seeing them together, enjoying their OWN moments with each other! I thank you for the huge desire inside me toward hospitality, my delight in making people feel comfortable and welcome. I ask you to help me do just that, here in this dilapidated little trailer, this Thanksgiving. Thank you so much for putting it in my son’s mind to get a hotel room nearby, so that I do not have to ask him to sleep on the floor and take a shower in that thing that is nearly falling through the floor…! Thank you for covering my shame in the worst places, Lord. Please help me to be humble enough to not try to cover up what you lay bare, Lord. I give you my body, my mind, my heart, my time, my SELF, Lord. Thank you for your awesome care!
