Good morning, Father!
Thank you so much for your tender mercies! For enveloping me in warmth and comfort this morning, for telling me when it was time to get up, for showing me how to keep warm in the house with no heat, and even for showing me how to solve an urgent situation with my daughter’s pet mice while she is away. Surely you take awesome good care of your people, Faithful Shepherd! Thank you so much for giving me eyes to see all these wonderful, praiseworthy things that you do! 😀

Zechariah 10:6-12 ERV

I will make Judah’s family strong. I will help Joseph’s family win the war. I will bring them back safely and comfort them. It will be as if I never left them. I am the LORD their God, and I will help them.
The people of Ephraim will be as happy as soldiers who have too much to drink. Their children will be rejoicing and they, too, will be happy. They will all have a happy time together with the LORD.
“I will whistle for them and call them all together. I really will save them. There will be many people.
Yes, I have been scattering my people throughout the nations. But in those faraway places, they will remember me. They and their children will survive, and they will come back.
I will bring them back from Egypt and Assyria. I will bring them to the area of Gilead. And since there will not be enough room, I will also let them live in nearby Lebanon.
They will go through a sea of troubles, but the waves will be stopped. Even the deepest waters of the Nile River will dry up. I will destroy Assyria’s pride and take away Egypt’s power.
I, the LORD, will make my people strong, and they will live for me.” This is what the LORD said.

Lord, I thank you for all the storms you’ve brought me through so far in life. It feels as if the water is stilling a bit, and you are about to do something new. There is no outward evidence of this, only inward, in my innermost being where you touch me best. It may only be that my attitude is changing, but I thank you just the same for that, as if there were to be an end to our poverty or some other outward blessing. Father, I ask that whatever it be, that you allow it to bless my husband and my children as well. Just as you are so concerned with your Bride and Children, so am I, my Lord. Please bless them through me and with me and please let us all know you better all the time, Shepherd. Amen!
