Good morning, Father!
Thank you for the motivation I feel this morning, and thank you for giving me a backlog of things to get done, to move forward in many areas! Please help me to pace myself today, Lord, so that I do not get burned out. Show me YOUR way of managing time and energy, Father, and help me to be wise enough to follow you and not run off blindly on my own. Amen.
Ephesians 1:10-11 ERV
God’s goal was to finish his plan when the right time came. He planned that all things in heaven and on earth be joined together with Christ as the head.
In Christ we were chosen to be God’s people. God had already planned for us to be his people, because that is what he wanted. And he is the one who makes everything agree with what he decides and wants.
2 Peter 3:8-9 ERV
But don’t forget this one thing, dear friends: To the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years is like a day.
The Lord is not being slow in doing what he promised–the way some people understand slowness. But God is being patient with you. He doesn’t want anyone to be lost. He wants everyone to change their ways and stop sinning.
Lord, it is quite obvious that time doesn’t really matter to you — that it is not any sort of limitation. Still, you also do things according to the “right time” according to your plan. Father, I yield my plan and what I think is the “right time” to you this day. What I think truly doesn’t matter and really IS a limitation, because I am so limited. Help me to see things from your perspective, or at least to see what you would have me to do at any given moment, and not be worried about the next hour or the next day or month or year. Thank you for your enduring patience and care, Lord God! Thank you for choosing me and making me your own. 😀
