Good morning, Lord.
Thank you for the work I’ve already accomplished today, and thank you for helping me find my daughter’s glasses QUICK, so she didn’t have to be without them all day! Please provide enough money for both my daughter and myself to finally go to the eye doctor after 2 years without eye exams! My contacts are almost gone, even wearing daily lenses for 2 weeks each, and my daughter’s glasses are held together by wire. Father, the combination of that and other things in my life are making me feel like pond scum. I know you care for us, Lord. I ask that you provide for these needs. Amen.
Psalm 123 ERV
A song for going up to the Temple. Lord, I look up and pray to you. You sit as King in heaven.
A slave looks to his master to provide what he needs, and a servant girl depends on the woman she serves. So we depend on the LORD our God, waiting for him to have mercy on us.
LORD, be merciful to us, because we have been insulted much too long.
We have had enough of the hateful words of those proud people who make fun of us and show us no respect.
Father, I am willing to live in poverty the rest of my life, if that is the path you have for me. However, please help me to find a way to help other people, despite not having enough money to even take care of my own needs. Show me how to make the best of what I have — including my time, my energy, the money I do get from my work, and all the other blessings you bestow on me, such as my awesome LOVE of learning! Thank you so much for that gift, Father! Truly I can be content, living in a dilapidated trailer, wearing rags, but still with the ability to LEARN!! 😀
