Good morning, Father.
Thank you so much for helping me fight off this sickness so far, getting a touch of it but not enough to make me stop working and learning. Please keep showing me what to do and what to avoid, in order to not get any sicker. Thank you for bringing my husband safely through the worst part of his sickness, and please heal him up completely, Lord. Father, I thank you so much for all the practice you’ve given me on holding my tongue and speaking only with kindness, or just not at all. I have been quite amazed multiple times in the last few days, how I was able to separate from my emotions enough to NOT speak out in my own defense. Thank you for allowing me to rest in you, knowing you are my protector and defender and my very present help.
Psalm 46:1-5 KJV
To the chief Musician for the sons of Korah, A Song upon Alamoth. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.
There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.
God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.
Lord, I thank you for helping me notice all the little, almost imperceptible encouragements you give me along the way, just enough to keep me going. Thank you for giving me eyes to see all the little things I have to be grateful for, off and on all day, every day. It gets to be a fun game — like just now when I noticed that I am greatly blessed just to be able to highlight a word, right click it, and instantly check the spelling of it on Google. Haha! I am so grateful to live in this age of technology, Lord — it really tickles me!! 😀 You are always so merciful, my faithful Shepherd, and I know I can completely trust you. Please continue to grow me, and to show me what YOU want me to accomplish today, even if it is different from what I think I need to do. Thank you for being so strong, Lord! Thank you for letting me cling on to you for strength and support and comfort and protection. Amen!
