I shall yet learn, and grow beyond the immaturity of adulthood. I shall again laugh, and learn the wisdom of a child.

Good morning, Father.
Thank you for drawing me closer and giving me guidance, including a new way to organize my time and energy. Please bless my efforts, Lord, make me more productive and fruitful for YOU! Father, please be with my husband and daughter today as they attempt to complete the remodeling of my husband’s truck camper. Please give them wisdom and strength of body to complete the project the way YOU would have it be done, in your wisdom and to your purpose, for your glory. Father, please be the Master of this household and guide us in the directions you would have us go, and guide us in our work to do all things for you, instead of for any temporal reward. Amen!

Romans 8:14-21 ERV

The true children of God are those who let God’s Spirit lead them.
The Spirit that we received is not a spirit that makes us slaves again and causes us to fear. The Spirit that we have makes us God’s chosen children. And with that Spirit we cry out, “Abba, Father.”
And the Spirit himself speaks to our spirits and makes us sure that we are God’s children.
If we are God’s children, we will get the blessings God has for his people. He will give us all that he has given Christ. But we must suffer like Christ suffered. Then we will be able to share his glory.
We have sufferings now, but these are nothing compared to the great glory that will be given to us.
Everything that God made is waiting with excitement for the time when he will show the world who his children are. The whole world wants very much for that to happen.
Everything God made was allowed to become like something that cannot fulfill its purpose. That was not its choice, but God made it happen with this hope in view:
That the creation would be made free from ruin–that everything God made would have the same freedom and glory that belong to God’s children.

It is always hard to trim down the verse list from Romans 8! I think I’ve used this chapter of Romans before, perhaps more than once, but it is just so loaded with awesomeness, it’s hard to pass over whenever I read it again. I LOVE how the Spirit speaks to my spirit, and I am so blessed to be one of God’s children! And I super-adore His creation, and am likewise eagerly waiting for the time when not only are His children revealed to all, but when His creation will be set free as well…! How awesome with THAT be?! What an awe-inspiring thought! Lord, help me to be faithful to the end, looking forward with hope and expectation to the day of this great Awesomeness! 😀
