Good morning, Father.
Thank you for your enduring patience and care. Please continue healing me and drawing me back close to you, holding nothing back and yielding all of me to you. I trust you, Lord. Help me to let go of all the small sticky spots, those isolated corners where I hang onto my earthly desires. More and more, I am realizing that even if all of my own dreams do not come true, YOUR plans for me will be much, much better. I give you my heart, Oh Lord. I give you my life, my time, my mind, my body. Teach me how to be more obedient and pleasing to you, my Shepherd. Amen!

Romans 6:12-18 ERV

But don’t let sin control your life here on earth. You must not be ruled by the things your sinful self makes you want to do.
Don’t offer the parts of your body to serve sin. Don’t use your bodies to do evil, but offer yourselves to God, as people who have died and now live. Offer the parts of your body to God to be used for doing good.
Sin will not be your master, because you are not under law. You now live under God’s grace.
So what should we do? Should we sin because we are under grace and not under law? Certainly not!
Surely you know that you become the slaves of whatever you give yourselves to. Anything or anyone you follow will be your master. You can follow sin, or you can obey God. Following sin brings spiritual death, but obeying God makes you right with him.
In the past you were slaves to sin–sin controlled you. But thank God, you fully obeyed what you were taught.
You were made free from sin, and now you are slaves to what is right.

Lord, I give myself to you. I am your slave. And I am a slave to your will and purpose. I am a garden where you tread, plucking up the weeds that I may THINK are lovely, but that hinder your work in me. You plant new seeds sometimes, and you water me every day. Perhaps some day, I will be in full bloom for you, and I will be mature and ready to come HOME to you. For now, help me to be content with your pruning and happy to have you as the Master of my garden for all time. Show me how I can serve you, Master. Amen!
